The case is very slim but still provides a small raised lip to protect the screen. The ring in the back can only be folded down in one position--a bit inconvenient. The ring spins fairly easily allowing it to adjust to the perfect position while holding it. The ring area does not provide enough metal to adhere strongly enough to any of my magnets hold the phone reliably in a car. If this is an issue for you, look elsewhere. Although, I haven't found one of these ring holders that will stay reliably attached to a car magnet.
