Yes, it's expensive -- but this cover is of such good quality, you won't regret it. Just make sure the SIZE is right for you -- I am using it with 9.5" x 6" notebooks -- available everywhere, they fit PERFECTLY in this cover, nice and snug without feeling "tight" at all -- plus there's plenty of room for the pens, pencils, erasers, and straight edges I need for taking accurate notes / records. I think I could even fit my iPad mini in there along with the 200-page notebook -- that might be pushing it, but I think it would work. The key point is that this is a medium size I can't find from other manufacturers, it really fills a gap in the market, and I'm thankful for that.Has several external pockets and internal slots, and the photos here on amazon do help you get an accurate sense of the size and features. The "checklist organizer" can be removed, which I appreciate. I personally don't anticipate using the "map case" on the back, but the vinyl, zippers, and velcro used throughout are super tough. There are many companies making and selling products that are suitable for hard-core / outdoor use, my first impression is that this one meets or exceeds what you would expect from such a "mil-spec" product.BOTTOM LINE: I absolutely LOVE this, it's exactly what I needed, and I anticipate it will last for many, many years. It's "tacti-cool" without making you look like a "tacti-chump".... And despite not being eligible for PRIME, the seller provides great, personal service which will make you want to give them more of your business. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
